So, after a very rewarding trip to 's website, I've had this relentless mental image of SameIta singing "Heaven's Door". (You don't know me but I love you for having the mp3 that I've wanted for more than a year )

The character dynamics are pretty fitting, too; a dangerous, selfish wildcard leader and his coldly polite, slightly subordinate comrade who displays an unexpectedly tender older-brother kind of protectiveness. Or something like that. It's five in the morning and I'm at a loss for adjectives to describe how much I love the weird way in which Itachi and Kisame interact.

Tons of fun to parallel - their height difference is perfect, crazy kunai scratches instead of marker, and Itachi's "scarlet" ring symbol to Tokitoh's "punishment" mark works uncannily well.

Also, I wanted an excuse to draw Akatsuki gakuran. Yes, the way they're wearing them is a reference to the AsuKure fight scene. No, the clouds do not make sense anymore.

I briefly debated giving Kisame a regent 'do to make him fit the delinquent image, but realized that drawing him without a head protector was a perfect opportunity to give him a dorky (on him) preppy cut. XD

Look out for more stupidity with Orochimaru as The Flaming Fujiwara. *snerk*
